This image is of the Teton range at Snake River Overlook, in Grand Teton National Park. I’ve started my new format with this image, that was also featured in my last post, for a couple of reasons. One is because it is such a recognizable location, thanks in no small part to Ansel Adams’ iconic photograph from 1942. The view has changed a bit, given the more than 70 years of growth since then. But it’s still a remarkable place and can be reached by car. The parking lot is maybe a hundred feet from the overlook itself.
The second reason is because I am honestly a bit suprised how well I think this one turned out. I know I’m biased, but that’s why I’m conducting this experiment. Yes, I used a filter to get the effect I wanted, but until I get my Photoshop and Lightroom skills better tuned, I’ll use the tools that I have to hopefully create beautiful and impactful images.
